The Goldsboro Police Department offers a wide variety of services and protection to the more than 39,000 citizens who live and work in Goldsboro. The Department is located at 204 South Center Street in Goldsboro. The front desk is staffed by records personnel Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Have a request for an officer to attend your event?

The Goldsboro Police Department is committed to supporting requests to appear and/or speak at special events in our community. The Police Department has the ability to provide several different topics and services depending on the type of request. To request an appearance from the Goldsboro Police Department, please complete this form at least 30 days in advance of your event. The intent of this form is to schedule and maximize the positive interactions in our community. However, we understand that circumstances may not allow for advance notification and we will try to support your request, but our ability to fulfill all requests still depends on scheduling and officer availability. Citizen Police Academy

The Goldsboro Police Department is proud to announce the establishment of its own Citizen Police Academy. The academy, which is open to those 18 years old and older who live, work and play in and around the Goldsboro community, will provide an informative and eye-opening experience to its participants. The Academy’s classes include topics like: Community-Police Relations, Legal Review, Building Searches, Use of Force, and Criminal Investigations. These topics, along with others, will give participants a greater understanding of the Goldsboro Police Department and an appreciation for the problems and challenges facing law enforcement. If you are interested in participating in the Citizen Police Academy, applications are being taken now through August 25, 2017!

Would you like to commend a Department employee?

Have a complaint against a Police Officer or employee of the Police Department?

A citizen who has a complaint against an officer or employee will be given the opportunity to discuss the complaint with a Captain or higher ranking officer. If no Captain or higher ranking officer is available, the citizen may discuss the complaint with the Shift Commander or Acting Shift Commander. The complaint will be discussed at that time and an attempt will be made to resolve the matter. If the complaint is not resolved, the citizen may complete and sign a written Citizen Complaint Form.
