Assault With a Deadly Weapon With Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury
Goldsboro, N.C. — On Aug. 13, 2021, at approximately 8:21 p.m., officers with the Goldsboro Police Department heard multiple gunshots coming from the area of George and Fussell streets. While officers were patrolling the area, information was received from Wayne UNC Health Care that two gunshot victims had just arrived by personal vehicle. The two victims were identified as Darius Lamar Chestnut, 41, and Aaron David Kinsey, 36. The victims were transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for further medical treatment. Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division responded and it was determined that the shooting occurred at 209 Fussell Street. The current medical status of the victims is unknown at this time.
